In case health reform is on your mind, you might want to find an easy way to compare the presidential’s stands on health insurance reform. This was just about the largest domestic issue before the housing crash got worse and the experts started predicting recession. WebMD has published a good website where you can take in all of the candidate’s stands at a glance.

COMPARE HEALTH INSURANCE RATES

Hillary Clinton wants a universal plan, based upon free market and federal solutions. She wants to mandate coverage for all Americans.

Mccain proposes a plan where people would get $2500 and $5000 tax credits to help pay for health insurance, and they would also be able to choose from more solutions across state lines.

Obama also wants a broad based plan with mandated children’s health coverage. He does not go so far as to mandate coverage for adults.

Surprisingly Romney also supports universal care, but through state programs instead of a federal ones.

Ron Paul favors limited federal involvement, but wants tax credits which would equal 100% of the premiums.

Personally, I don’t think a $5,000 tax credit will be enough for those who have pre-existing conditions. I do not believe that anything but universal care will help those people. So, if we still have private programs, then insurance companies must not be able to cherry pick customers. If they can be profitable with high risk customers, then perhaps it would be time for the feds to step in. That’s the 247QuoteuS.com health insurance reform plan!
