Mini Med Health Insurance Plans

I found an article in BusinessInsuranceStore.com on Mini Med Health Plans and the general impact of high health insurance benefit premiums on business today. Of course, I have always told people to try and find major medical health insurance if they can, but in the current state of US health insurance, that may just not be practical or even possible.

The thing is, mini med plans are a lot cheaper, and can get people access to doctors and hospitals, and keep them out of county hospitals or clinics. They also can help businesses provide some type of health benefits, where they may be forced into doing away with any type of health insurance. Some mini med plans can work with supplemental health and accident policies, or even fit under a high deductible health plan to provide good health coverage.

And the final thing, not mentioned by the article, is that mini med plans are often underwritten with different rules than major medical health. That means, that those with health conditions that may not be accepted by major medical, will have access to private health insurance.

Again, in a perfect world, go for a major medical health plan, but here on Earth, or at least in the US, you may have to settle for a minimed health plan.
