Recessions and Bill Cutting and Happy New Year Anyway!
Welcome to 2008! The news is still hopeful, meaning that some economists have hope. But many economist and the majority of average people who are asked, believe the country is going to endure a temporary recession next year. Most of the problems are brought on by the wave of housing disasters: loans that are difficult to get, price slump, foreclosures - like the 3 horsemen of the 2008 recession. However, the war and higher fuel prices are not helping, and believe it or not, we are still seeing the impact of the wave of kiler storms a couple of years ago.
First, look up the definition of economic recession at BadCreditBlues.com. The article also discusses recession vs. depression, causes of recession, and the current situation. It also takes a look at things you can do to survive, or even prosper, during tough times.
You know that one of the most important things you can do is to have some cash, or another liquid asset, on hand. Those with some cash (or a ready supply of inexpensive credit) can actually prosper during a recession. This goes for families and businesses. If you’ve been following cheapskatliving.org, maybe you are one of those. That online blog has tips to save money at the grocery store, build strong credit, and cut living expenses painlessly.
What I am happy about is that recent articles in both cheapskatliving.org and badcreditblues.com mention that insurance premiums are one thing to look at. Insurance is a competitive business, and if you know how to compare plans, you probably can slash hundreds of dollars from your outgoing tray every year. I mentioned it before, but I cut $80 a month from my car insurance bills without sacrificing a thing. I stil had a top rated company and the same coverage, but from a company that forgave my ONE ACCIDENT in 10 years, instead of taking the opportunity to penalize me for it.
Anyway, I am wishing you all a good year. I am not trying to be gloomy, just advising you that this may not be the time to buy that new fishing boat, but rather the time to consider selling the old one. Cash on hand to survive a few months, limited expenses, and above all, some flexibility, will get you through just about anything.

Its such a shame to see many young youth lose their lives in car accidents , due to impaired driving. Enstilling strict laws seems to be ineffective sometimes in these days. It is good though, that driver training programs focus on the consequences if drinking and driving.
